It's OK!

There's a stage where people change. Sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better. I'd love to think that over the years, I'd tried my best, striving to change for the better, insyaAllah. It wasn't a smooth journey, I struggled yes, but I always believe in His Rahmah.

Most times people will see you, judge you by the person you were, not the changed person you are at present. And they tend to get wary of what they'd say or do to you. It's OK! It's really OK! I have other better things to do than to mind other people's business. I have my grave to think of. I have none other but only Allah to please.

Praying for HIS guidance and protection at all times ameen.

Aljunied's Prize Giving, Scholarship and Special Awards Ceremony

Yesterday Kakak received her 2nd scholarship award. Two years in a row alhamdulillah. Again, Ayah decided to not opt for the prize money for her school fees payment, just like last year. Kakak gets to keep all $1760 into her bank account. And someone's smiling widely!

Here's sharing some pix of yesterday's event.

Kakak receiving her award from the principal, Mr Mahmoud Mathlub. All smiles but unfortunately the name and pix on the projector do not tally hehehehe

Alhamdulillah the event went smoothly. Congratulations Kakak!! May this motivate you to perform even better in the future insyaAllah. Mama & Ayah will always pray that you, Abang and Adek will succeed in this dunya and the hereafter ameen.

Aljunied Japanese Homestay (19 - 21 February 2016 ) ~ Day 3

Day 3

Time for Mai and Fumika to pack their luggage. We had to leave for school before 12pm. Because of that, the girls had early lunch at home and brunch was nasi lemak & epok2 and donuts to go along with.

Just before we left, the girls handed a plastic bag filled with an album booklet and goodies from Japan. Makcik terharu tau tros pelok the girls one after another. Kakak pon!

It had been our greatest pleasure hosting Mai and Fumika. 3D2N's stay is such a short period of time to get to know them well, but I had learnt couple of things from them. Their beautiful akhlaq impressed me greatly, An akhlaq a Muslim should possess is in them. They would never start eating their meal before we started with ours even when we insisted. They would say a lil prayer before eating. They would pick up and eat any food that had fallen off their plates on the table. It's like, bukannye kotor sangat, rezeki jangan buang2. Above all, they were too generous with their TQs.

However, there was just something that we did not expect from them..they bathed once a day only in the evening..aiseyman hahaha they would just wash their faces and brush their teeth BUT mind you, there wasn't any bau masam/hapak/hamis no body odour even after a day's outing..trust me! heran tau they could stay odourless walaupon kopet. Whatever it is, we are surely gonna miss them, the well mannered young ladies.

Aljunied Japanese Homestay (19 - 21 February 2016 ) ~ Day 2

Day 2

Woke the girls up at 7am. Kakak prepared for them pancakes and omelette for breakfast. They had bread and peanut butter too.

Today, we had to leave home at 8.30am to attend Kakak's A*YTS briefing at MKS. Told Mai and Fumika that they had to wear proper to the masjid and they agreed to wear jubah to MKS, and they may change to their casual wear once the briefing ended.

Right after the briefing, brought them to Geylang Serai market for lunch. Mai wanted fish ball noodles while Fumika had soup noodles with beef and prawns. They even tried rojak keling and otak2 kampong. Masek terbayang-bayang muka dorang terperanjat berok when we google translate longan jadi mata kucing. They were like "omg!! mama minom real cat's eyes drink" hahaha Abetu air nenas beli sekali 2 but bedal nenas je..sukati korang la nak! heheheh

Crossed over to Joo Chiat Complex and then to Tanjong Katong Complex hoping to get them a jubah each but they seemed somewhat not quite keen so we proceeded to our next stop.

Not wanting to waste time, we took a cab to Masjid Sultan for zuhr prayer. They both were in awe at the sight of Masjid Sultan that they went "woahh kawaiii!!" May Allah grant them hidayah ameen.

After solat, we took them to the shops along the lanes near the masjid for souvenirs shopping. It started to rain so heavily after they were done. But nothing to worry coz the girls were well equipped with umbrellas. So next up was Clarke Quay and Merlion Park.

It was still raining by the time we reached Raffles Place mrt. The girls were ok with it though it was quite difficult to take pix with umbrellas over our heads. But it wasn't that bad as the rain stopped after awhile.

We took the 40min river cruise from the Merlion Park jetty. It was a slow ride and Makcik bole tertido ok hahaha The river cruise was nonetheless a great way to enjoy the views of the nearby attractions. The girls looked so tired and Makcik lagik tired tau!! So we decided to call it a day after the boat ride.

Dinner was satay, KFC and mee goreng. No choice la kan, gotta order. Bila masa Makcik nak masak? Takpe la janji kenyang. Lagik pon kepale Makcik da start nak mengong. Perhaps banyak sangat jalan dalam hujan. But no problem la as long as the girls happy, ok la tu.
