Aljunied's Prize Giving, Scholarship and Special Awards Ceremony

Yesterday Kakak received her 2nd scholarship award. Two years in a row alhamdulillah. Again, Ayah decided to not opt for the prize money for her school fees payment, just like last year. Kakak gets to keep all $1760 into her bank account. And someone's smiling widely!

Japanese Homestay Program

Kakak had applied to participate in the Japanese Homestay Program organized by Madrasah Aljunied. We will insyaAllah be hosting 2 Japanese girls for 3D2N stay at our crib. 

There will be a briefing for parents and students on Friday, 19/2/2016 after which we will be bringing the involved Japanese students home. Makcik & Kakak so excited!! hahaha sibbek 3 hari je, lau tak ley migraine kepala Makcik & Kakak hari2 nak bertudong dalam rumah kekekke

Friday faster come!! We are so looking forward to this rare opportunity.

Pre-U 1 Entrance Test Result

Alhamdulillah! He's accepted entry to Madrasah Aljunied Pre-U 1. A step closer to his goals, insyaAllah.

Geniuses At Work

The girls came over for their group project. Kakak2 Junied, the geniuses ameen. Prepared mee soto and baked some tapak kuda for their lunch. In return, the girls brought some fruits for makcik in the house. Alhamdulillah, pandai kakak2 ni datang rumah orang bawak buah tangan.

They stayed the whole day at my place to finish their project. And after 9 hours of handwork, the painting, the gluing, the pasting and whatnots, their a-maze-on (Amazon) runners board game is ready. And it looks pretty cool, alhamdulillah! 

UPDATE : 14/11/2015

They were the selected few who were given the chance to showcase their project during Dr Yaacob Ibrahim's visit to Madrasah Aljunied Al Islamiah. 

They were seen here discussing Singapore's long term objectives for environment conservation during Islamic Society class, that addressed emerging issues related to Islam, whereby the discussion encouraged critical and creative thinking.

Alhamdulillah for the opportunity given.

Double Happiness

It was a week of double happiness for Ayah and Mama, two days in a row. We ended the 2nd term school semester with a somewhat happy note. Alhamdulillah! :')

Venue : Madrasah Aljunied Al Islamiah

We were invited to Madrasah Aljunied's Scholarship Presentation ceremony. Alhamdulillah Kakak has been very lucky to be amongst the 10 recipients for the Excellence Award given to the top 10 2014 PSLE & ISPE students who have successfully gained admission to secondary one in Madrasah Aljunied Al Islamiah. 

Alhamdulillah, congratulations to all the students! May this award & cash reward motivate them to stay consistent in doing well and to achieve success at a greater height, and to always be thankful to Allah for the blessings that He has bestowed unto them, insyaAllah ameen.

In all, we witnessed 14 recipients receiving their respective awards from our very own Mufti Ustaz Dr Fatris Bakaram.

Venue : Madrasah Irsyad Zuhri

Received an invitation to Madrasah Irsyad Zuhri's Haflah 2015. Celebrated another year of success yet again, alhamdulillah. Adek went up the stage twice. Once to receive the award for being the Top STE 2014 student. The second time we witnessed him receiving the awards for 3rd in Level and Best in Tafseer. MasyaAllah, alhamdulillah! 

Thank you children for making us proud parents. Thank you for taking your studies seriously. Mama & Ayah wish all the 3 of you success in this dunya and in the hereafter, ameen. And remember, your success is made possible only with HIS grace. Allah makes it all possible for you. And besides your hardwork and du'a, (& our du'a too) you have your teachers (their time, energy, dedication & love) to be thankful for.

Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for this nikmah and rizq. I just can't thank YOU enough :'(

Aljuniedian :D

Yesterday was registration cum orientation day for Madrasah Aljunied's S1 2015 intake. Except for 2 or 3 students I saw from Madrasah Al Maarif, the rest of the students were from Madrasah Al Irsyad. Alhamdulillah the academic books as well as the uniforms were on sale yesterday. However, we gotta come back on the 29/12/2014 for the ukhrawi books.

Mode for the day : Excited!! Kakak tried on the uniform as soon as we got home. Ghairah tau!! Maklom new uniform, new school :D Maknye pon excited semacam jugak..anak dapat Aljunied macam dapat RGS gitu hehehehhe Anyway, Kakak looks so cute in Aljunied's school uniform :))

JMS Secondary 1 Posting Result

The JMS Sec1 posting result was out earlier in the morning. Kakak has been offered a place in Madrasah Aljunied Al Islamiah, alhamdulillah. Monday, 1 Dec 2014 will be the registration day. Really hope that I could settle everything before 10 Dec 2014 insyaAllah. Yes, 10 Dec 2014, much looked forward day for Adek & Kakak. Their big reward day. Reward for their efforts, insyaAllah :) May they continue to strive for the best and attain success in this dunya and the hereafter, ameen!

A New Paradigm in Madrasah Education

Time and again, I'm proud to have enrolled all my three kids into a Madrasah for their education, specifically Madrasah Al Irsyad Al Islamiah. Alhamdulillah, throughout the years, I've seen many positive changes in the curriculum that the Madrasah has to offer in order to meet the needs of it's students, to be on par, if not better than their counterparts in the mainstream schools, and more.

In 2009, began the revamp of the Madrasah education system, where 3 out of 6 full time Madrasahs were brought together under one system, JMS - Joint Madrasah System. Since then, Madrasah Al Irsyad became the feeder Primary School to Madrasah Aljunied & Madrasah Al Arabiah, which would offer Secondary & Pre-U education.

Yesterday, parents of the 3 Madrasahs under JMS were invited for a very important briefing on a new paradigm in Madrasah education. And oh, I'm impressed! Kudos to the teams involved in revamping the Madrasah education system for the betterment of Madrasah students. May Allah ease all of their affairs, insyaAllah ameen. And alhamdulillah, Kakak will be among the students of the first cohort of JMS..
