Aljunied JMS Scholarship 2015

Yesterday Kakak came home with some good news. She received a letter from Madrasah Aljunied stating that she is eligible for Aljunied JMS Scholarship 2015. It was such a pleasant surprise indeed. Something that we did not apply for but it just came to us, alhamdulillah! 

The scholarship is awarded to the top five PSLE and top five ISPE performers of Kakak's cohort who successfully enrol into Madrasah Aljunied.

I was in for a bigger surprise as I read further. The value of the scholarship is $1560 annually for a duration of two years. MasyaAllah, syukur alhamdulillah!! On top of that, Kakak will be given an additional sum of $200 in recognition of her excellent performance. In all, she'll be receiving $1760. Alhamdulillah thumma alhamdulillah!!! Thank YOU Allah! You planned Kakak's journey so beautifully that I just can't thank YOU enough :') It's really her rezeki for all her hardwork, masyaAllah!

Wishing Kakak success in her journey in seeking knowledge in Madrasah Aljunied Al Islamiah, insyaAllah ameen.

been awhile since my last update..so many things to share yet too little time to spare..feeling drained lately..emotionally drained :'( 

seringkali aku mengajar diri untuk tersenyum gembira bagai tiada duka..

Their Childcare Plan That Went Wrong

chacha's hysterical cries from day one, ngigau in their sleep even during day time nap..

and where teha's heart does not belong, words become unpleasant.."how shall i call u? what's your name?" "fateha..just call me teha ok!!" that with a very stern OK!!

when asked to draw her face she coloured the whole paper blue.."i thought i asked you to draw a face?" "dono la!"

and when a 5yo is being observant, this is what you get right in your face!! "ibu selalu cakap tak boleh pakai cutex abes asal teacher tu pakai tudong tapi pakai cutex?!" and you can't lie to a smart girl, "tu inai bukan cutex" for she will go "inai mane ade colour pink!!" and then what you saw the next day, the tudong clad teacher was without nail polish on both her fingers and toes..hahaha kids..they are just being honest!

would we ever want a non muslim, a chinese, someone yang tak beriman dengan agama kita to cook for our child? a big NO for sure, even if all kitchen supplies are from halal supplier..we are what we eat..ensure that the food we eat is halalan thoyyiban peeps!!

and today, i welcomed back my 2 lil munchkins with open arms!! we plan, but at the end of the day, Allah is the best planner indeed!!

And Life as a Thanawi Khalifah Begins

Alhamdulillah, today marks Kakak's first day of school in Madrasah Aljunied Al Islamiah. First day as an Aljuniedian. Everything's gonna be alright insyaAllah. May she gain beneficial 'ilm and attain success fiddunya wal akhirah ameen.

On another note, Teha has been coughing badly since yesterday and today she will not be in school. She reasoned out with her Ayah for not wanting to go to her new school. MasyaAllah! That just shows how mature she is for her age, being able to make her Ayah see her points, how she's able to tell wrong from right, it's just masyaAllah! Alhamdulillah!

It's about time.

Perhaps, yes, it's about time. Get hurt now, or later. Either way, it won't be easy. 

Been almost 5 years now. They have every right over the girls. But it hurts more when it comes to Teha. Even more hurtful when she said she doesn't wanna go to her new school. That she wouldn't go only because her new uniform 'tak tutop aurat'. 

That's Teha! Intelligent! I'm so proud of her!! Nurtured her till she knows what aurat is. MasyaAllah!! Alhamdulillah TQ Allah for giving me the chance to care for her and Chacha. Even if it's not meant for long :') 

They have their reasons to pull the girls out and I don't have the right to question. Ya Allah I shall constantly pray for their well being. May they always be in Your protection & guidance ameen. Our silaturrahim will not end here, insyaAllah :')

My 2014 ends with somewhat a sad ending :'(
